19_1219: K-Arts Dance Festival

K-Arts Dance Company from the Korea University of Arts showcase traditional and modern dances.

Five  graduates of K-Arts University are currently active in Boston Ballet,  including two principals. Graduates of K-Arts Dance Company presented  ‘Song of Mermaid,’ an adaptation of Andersen’s Little Mermaid, in New York City  Center in Oct. 2018 (https://www.nycitycenter.org/pdps/2018-2019/Song-of-the-Mermaid/) and in Taormina Theatre in August 2019 (https://www.taorminaoperastars.it/songofmermaid-karts?l=en). The cast included Principal Dancer, Kimin Kim of the Mariinsky Ballet as the Prince, who has previously performed, and received rave reviews, as a guest artist with American Ballet Theater.
